The City’s Department of Planning and Development is holding a public meeting to present options for future development and street improvements around the Northgate Light Rail station. The meeting is on Thursday, Dec. 8, 2011, 6:00 – 8:30 p.m., at the Aljoya Senior Apartments at Thornton Place, 450 NE 100th Street. The Summit will center around three basic questions: What do you think are the highest priority safety problems [...] Seattle City Light is beginning the second phase of replacing all streetlights with new LED bulbs. This phase will include Pinehurst. The new lightbulbs reduce maintenance costs by lasting longer. They are also brighter and whiter, allowing for better visibility and identification of colors. The Seattle Department of Transportation will repair the asphalt pavement on NE 125th Street in the outside lanes, where needed, between Roosevelt Way NE and 30th Avenue NE.
