Thornton Creek Park #1 Planning Meeting Report

The Friends of Thornton Creek Park #1 got a grant a while back. April 13th they held the first of their public meetings to plan restoration of part of the Thornton Creek Park near Jackson Golf Course. See the report here.

Thornton Creek Park #1 Planning Consultant

Friends of Thornton Creek Park #1 have signed a contract with GAYNOR, Inc. to manage the planning process for the Park in 2011.

The planning process will include three public meetings to be scheduled for March-June. Watch for announcements of the dates and location, to be in our Pinehurst / JacksonPark / OlympicHills [...]

Thornton Creek Park Six Funding

Thornton Creek Park Six is in the final round for obtaining 2008 Parks and Open Space Opportunity Fund money. Our urban, seven-acre natural area, just two blocks east of Northgate Mall and home to beavers, kingfishers, pileated woodpeckers, and much more, is this close to receiving $500,000.00 from the fund.
