Remember the property owner who cut down trees on 5th Ave without a permit?


They are being allowed to subdivide the rest of the parcels they own on 5th Ave.

Land Use Application to subdivide four parcels into five parcels of land. Proposed parcel sizes are: E) 6,594 sq. ft., F) 5,400 sq. ft., G) 5,400 sq. ft., H) 5,400 sq. ft.; and I) 5,403 sq. ft.

    Not only did this developer cut trees w/out a permit but he did so before he even owned the property. The parcel was in the PROCESS of being purchased froom WDOT, WDOT sent the developer and Seattle a stern letter regarding the action and advised closely monitoring future activity on this site.

    The city can fine people who cut–or even top–city trees without a permit. This happened to the guy across the street from me who topped a bigleaf maple without a permit. (This can cause big problems because some trees that are topped rot from within and then without warning, drop on the nearest car.) Ask before you top or drop.
