Yesterday, when trying to decide where to take my daughter and her friends for dinner after watching a movie (Ponyo) at the Regal Cinema at Thornton Place, we decided to go to the newly opened Jewel Box Cafe at Thornton Place. Jewel Box serves coffee, bubble teas, crepes and sandwiches. The girls chose Nutella crepes. They enjoyed watching the crepes being made and then devoured them. There were many families and couples at Jewel Box enjoying coffee, tea and dinner when we were there. It looked like a mix of folks who were going to the cinema and folks who lived at Thornton Place or in the neighborhood just stopping in. We will go back and definitely recommend Jewel Box if you are looking for a new place to go in the neighborhood.

Yeah I have to agree! I was so surprised at how delicious the crepes were and the whole atmosphere was really nice.
Definitly cool atmosphere. The wood work is just amazing. I am in construction so I can appreciate good woodwork. That alone is worth the trip. Antique furniture very nice!! Crepes and espresso was just as amazing. Highly recommended!!
I had a great sandwich there and a perfect cup of coffee. The food was brough out quickly and the vietnamese style baguette sandwich was delicious. Unfortunately I got a $25 ticket for parking in the stalls in front! Unfortunately the new parking stalls aren't marked very well and I had no idea they were 30 minute spots. Can't say I'll go back if I can't resolve this ticket from standard parking.
Plenty of parking in the underground garage right across the plaza from the restaurant.
I went there today! I LOVED the atmosphere the design of the cafe was very homeyy and fancy, the lighting in the cafe was VERy classsy. I loved the serice. BUBBLE TEA THERE IS GURREAT

I live in Illinois and visit my son who lives in Seattle. Each time I visit, several times a year since 2004, he takes me to several different coffee shops. The Jewel Box was on our list this time and I found it to fabulous. Great atmosphere, food, and service. The Jewel Box is definately at the top of my list.
