Do you wonder what type of projects are funded by the Housing Levy? There are similar projects all over Seattle including some in our own neighborhood such as Meridian Manor, Northgate (10345 Meridian Ave N). Meridian Manor, Northgate holds 109 apartments for seniors or people with disabilities.
When the owner of these senior apartments put the building up for sale, the tenants were at risk of losing their homes. A local non-profit, Housing Resources Group, used the Housing Levy to purchase and renovate the building, allowing the seniors to stay in their affordable home.
