Tent City3 needs batteries, blankets, and gloves

From Rev. Deacon Mary Gould at St. George Church:

It is wet and cold outside. Tent City3 needs batteries, blankets, and gloves.

In addition they are in need of tents, tent parts, and tent repair supplies. If you have anything tent-like laying around not in use anymore, please consider donating it to Tent City 3.

They are especially in need of tents for community purposes (to sleep new intakes, an office, for a common area to sit or stand out of the rain, etc.). Wall tents and frame tents would be ideal. Camping tents are needed too.

The residents of TC3 are resourceful and could make use of car port tents (portable garages), motor home covers, canopies, event tents, gazebo tents, garden tents, party tents, etc. Anything tent-like.

Parts or incomplete tents are also needed and welcome. Like tents without poles, poles without tents, frame joints, tarps, lumber (pallets and plywood for floors, and 1x2s, 1x3s, 1x4s, etc., 2x2s, 2x3s, and 2x4s for A-frames, fixing pallets, etc.), duct tape, twine, rope, etc. Oh yes, and tarps.

Tent City 3 is currently located in the parking lot of St. George’s Episcopal Church, at 2212 NE 125th Street, Seattle. Our office is open 24-hours per day. 206-399-0412.

Please respond as you are able. Times are hard for many people in today’s economy and that is also true for our homeless brothers and sisters.
