Henna Painting at the Northgate Library

Sorry for the short notice.  I just got sent this today but it looks like fun (I’m too old unfortunately) and I wanted to pass it along.  They have more events coming up and we’ll try to get those posted sooner in the future.

From Abby Bass, Teen Services Librarian:

Hey teens, want to learn the ancient art of henna painting? Come to a free workshop by local henna artist Krysteen Lomonaco at the Northgate Library, this Wednesday, June 23rd at 3 PM. You’ll learn how to create cool designs on paper that also work on skin, and practice on yourself.

Registration is required, so please call the branch at 206-386-1980 or stop by in person. The Northgate Library is located at 10548 5th Ave NE, Seattle, WA 98125. Space is limited, so sign up today! For teens ages 12-18 only.

Hands-On Henna is part of The Seattle Public Library’s 2010 Summer Reading Program for Teens. To find out more about Summer Reading, sign up, track and review books, check out our website or stop by any library location! Happy reading, and we hope to see you at the library this summer!
