Remodel is nearing completion and it is looking great. It will be like having a brand new up to date building! Here is a photo looking up at the new lights and windows and a construction shot out front. We should be able to have a grand opening party this spring. The building will be rentable for private parties or community events.

Wow! What a difference! Thanks to Lorna and everyone who made this happen. Its been fun to watch the progress over the past two months! Your efforts are greatly appreciated!
Thanks especially to Lorna Mrachek who raised the $$ for this project. I wanted to add that the remodeled building will be heated making it available for year round use. The interior is completely redone with new bathrooms. 3 completely new windows in the south side (the side with the entrances facing the play area) will make the interior much brighter during the day time hours. New doors as well!
Grrr…some little punk tagged the sound side of the shelter house on Thursday nigh! They even managed to spray paint the new window. I’m hoping the new exterior lighting will help to deter these “aspiring artists”.
We are having a construction meeting at the shelter tomorrow morning with Park personnel so I can ask them to take care of it if it hasn’t been already.
Sure wish the aspiring artists could find a more productive outlet for their creativity!!!!!!!
