Pinehurst Pets: Lady Naomi Dongle & Sir Gene Widget

JenniferGalicia“This is our Girl Kitty (the tabby), and Boy Kitty (the black kitty). We’re a house of friends and we couldn’t really find names for them that everyone thought fit the animals well. Our friends thought that was undignified, so we invited all of our friends over for a debutante coming out party for the kitties. Prior to this we had set up a website for our friends and family to submit and vote on names for the kitties and their names were announced at the party. Officially the cats are Lady Naomi Dongle and Sir Gene Widget

Boy Kitty is food adventurous and always talks to you when you’re behind the stove cooking. He’s a total sweetheart and can be observed charming people as they enter Pinehurst Park from 12th Ave NE. Girl Kitty is really clever and is real good at training humans. She is an ace at letting us know she wants outside; we’ve hung jingle bells from our doorknobs. She’ll jingle them to get out when there isn’t even anyone in the room. Though she’s turned that attention grabber around and sometimes just jingles them when she wants to play. “

I LOVE IT!!! We have a cat named Mr. Jones and people look at us funny when we tell them, but it really fits him. Good work with the names.

That’s a good name, too! We just figured that our cats were pretty archetypal of their genders, so the names ended up being surprisingly fitting. Our regards to Mr. Jones. 🙂
