This week’s Pinehurst Pet is Doolin. He’s named after a coastal village in Ireland. This cute fellow was a stray, taken in by a pair of cycling enthusiasts. Not sure if Doolin has ever ridden along with them on their tandem. What’s a bicycle made for three called? Doolin’s probably just as happy sticking around the house and yard, where he has a feline friend, Max, who looks a lot like him. Oh, need I mention that he’s very fond of catnip?
We call it kitty crack at our house. One of my cats didn’t care a bit for it, but the other could get high at the mere sight of the container. It looked like Doolin is in that camp too.
When we put our cat nip away we’ve got to make sure they don’t see where we put it, or else they’ll try to get into that cupboard.
