This month’s guest speaker at NPAC was Maggie Olsen from the Community Police Academy. She described the two free courses SPD offers about facets of SPD, law enforcement’s role in criminal justice system, and daily work of police. I took the 11 week course and found it to be fascinating. There’s a one day class, also.

Thanks for the update from SPD. I believe I have seen objection to living in ones car before on this site. Has someone actually had a bad encounter with this? While its a sad sight to see these folks are no doubt more afraid of us than we are of them. So vulnerable with all your worldly goods in a car. Put yourself in their shoes.They would be looking for a safe street near amenities. Have compassion and think about the golden rule.
