Gigabit Seattle is about 10-15% of the way towards its goal to bring ultra-fast broadband to the community in 2013. Citizens are hoping this service will bring some competition to Comcast. In the May-June time frame Gigabit Seattle plans to announce, in conjunction with the Mayor’s office, details such as:
- Service level and pricing plans
- Deployment schedule
- Community wireless availability
- Public fiber ports
