The Parks Legacy Citizens’ Advisory Committee is developing a package for a future ballot measure to pay
for parks and recreation projects, ongoing maintenance and operations, and recreation programs. It’s also
looking at different ways to fund those investments.
Add your voice to this future ballot measure. Join your fellow community members and tell the Committee what you think. The meeting closest to Pinehurst is at
Bitter Lake Community Center, 13035 Linden Ave N, on Thursday January 30th, 7:00 pm
The Committee is looking for feedback on their recommendations in three specific areas:
1. PRIORITIES— did the Committee find the right balance between taking care of what we have, programming, and new development?
2. SIZE—learn how different levels of funding affect your taxes, and then tell us what you think the right size is!
3. FUNDING MECHANISM—learn about the differences between short-term, long-term, and permanent levies, and how those compare to the formation of a metropolitan parks district (MPD). Then, tell us which mechanism you think is most appropriate for Seattle, and any thoughts or concerns you have about it.

The Interim Report details the Committee’s process, rationale, and interim recommendations—but they need your input before they finalize those recommendations!
