I hope they don’t do a 130th station. Doing a line up LakeCity way is money better spent. Why add to the commute time for the folk upstream, already enough stations to traverse to get downtown. Shut the f up people!

  • Unfortunately, the NE 130th St station and a new light rail line through Lake City aren’t equivalent. A Lake City line is multiple billions of dollars while a station is ~30 million. And we’re looking to build a station at 130th because it’s the best station in the greater area for serving the region. This isn’t simply about Lake City. There was strong community support for the station from communities across far north Seattle. It is also about Pinehurst, Bitterlake, Broadview, Haller Lake, and more. It is about a city-wide transportation system that benefits everyone, that helps to alleviate congestion, that allows everyone greater mobility, that reduces greenhouse gasses, and that saves everyone in costs of owning vehicles.
