Licton Springs K-8 Tours and Open House

We also got info on the Licton Springs K-8 tour from John Chapman of the Licton Springs K-8 Site Council. They’re a bit outside Pinehurst but they’re just over I-5 in Licton Springs and they used to be Pinehurst K-8 / Alternative School #1 here in the heart of Pinehurst.

If you are looking for a school that is dynamic, creative, and student centered, while dedicated to equality, social justice, and Native American experience –Licton Springs K-8 may be the school for your child! Licton Springs K-8 (formerly known as Pinehurst K-8, and before that Alternative School #1), has been providing students with a hands-on, project based, social-justice curriculum since 1970, and now has a new Native American focus.

We will be holding school tours and an open house in preparation for student open enrollment. All events will be at our location in the South Wing of the Lincoln Building, 4400 Interlake Avenue N., in the Wallingford neighborhood. We are open to any student in Seattle Public Schools.

            Evening Open House – Thursday, February 11th, from 6:00-7:00 PM.

Daytime Tours – 9:30 to 10:30

January:           Monday the 11th and 25th

                        Wednesday the 13th, 20th, and 27th.

February:         Monday the 1st, 8th, and 22nd.

                        Wednesday the 3rd, 10th, and 24th.

We are temporarily located in the Lincoln Building in Wallingford. In the fall of 2017 we will move to our new, permanent home in the Licton Springs Neighborhood, at 1330 N 90th Street.

Bus transportation is provided for students in the Broadview-Thompson, Northgate, Greenwood, Bagley, and Olympic View Elementary attendance areas. Limited transportation is available for students living in the Jane Addams or Eckstein middle-school service areas. SPS provided ORCA cards are available for any student in grade 6-8 who is more than 2 miles from the school, anywhere in the city.
