This month’s guest speaker at NPAC was Karmin Schuur, an SPD Research Intern. Grad students from Seattle U have a grant from the Seattle Police Foundation to help with the Seattle Police Department micro community policing plans. The plans are individualized priorities and strategies for neighborhoods in the north precinct. Pinehurst is included in the Northgate plan, which can be read here.
In other news, our new Crime Prevention Coordinator has been training for the last two weeks. In February she’ll be ready to start working with community groups and individuals on home security audits, block watch setup, etc. We’ll send out contact information when she’s ready to go.
