Jodi at wademcnaul@hotmail.com Jodi sent an update that she is working to plan a meeting for the folks on NE 125th between 5th Ave NE and Roosevelt Way NE (and others who are also interested) about the 125th St sidewalk project. Jodi met with Shauna Walgren and and [...] Karla, Rebecca & Jodi – all mothers of young children who live on or near NE 125th between 5th Ave NE and Roosevelt Way NE – have won a significant funding award toward the amount needed to design and build a sidewalk along part of NE 125th between 5th Ave NE and Roosevelt Way NE. You may recall that Pinehurst applied for funding from the Neighborhood Street Fund for a sidewalk on NE 125th Street between 5th Ave NE and Roosevelt Way NE. The Neighborhood Street Fund is a pool of money that comes from the Real Estate Excise Tax (REET, the [...] (updated 3/26/08)There were four project proposals submitted from Pinehurst this year for the Neighborhood Street Fund.North District Council will meet on March 29th to choose projects from all North District neighborhoods to submit for pricing and feasibility. Total budget for all of North District is $95,000. North District includes: Maple Leaf, Pinehurst, Victory Heights, Jackson [...] Unfortunately the sidewalks on 115th or 125th between Roosevelt and 5th NE are not yet in the cards. The Neighborhood Street Fund – Large Project Review Team decisions were announced today. Only one project is able to be funded in the North District: a sidewalk to Sacajawea Elementary School on 20th Ave NE from 98th [...] Pinehurst residents applied for funding from the Neighborhood Street Fund Large Project Fund (funded by the Bridging the Gap transportation levy) to build sidewalks on 115th (between 15th and 5th NE) and 125th (between Roosevelt and 5th NE).
