Sunday January 31, 2010 is the date of the free Citizens Budget Conference 2010 at Center House, Seattle Center. It’s sponsored by Seattle’s City Neighborhood Council and Seattle Center, in cooperation with the Mayor, the City Council, the budget Offcie and Department of Neighborhoods.
There will be tables in the reception area where you can meet and talk one-on-one with departmental representatives. The program includes an overview of Seattle’s biennial budget process, presentations by various Seattle agencies, and a City Council panel discussion on budget issues. In addition, the Mayor and the City Council Finance chair will give their visions for the budget and how citizens can get involved.
