Busing to SeaTac

My family and just got back to Seattle after two weeks in the midwest (more on that soon). In planning the trip, we decided to try to make some changes to what we normally do and we took the bus to and from SeaTac. It was actually easier and faster than I thought it might be. We took a 41 to the downtown bus tunnel and transferred to a 194 (you can also take a 174, but I hear the 194 is faster). The bus let us off right at the terminal.

When we returned to Seattle, we went to the same bus stop located outside baggage claim at Bay 2. Again, you can take either a 194 or a 174.

Whether you do it for the green factor or for the cash factor, it makes a difference. I figure that it costs about $27 round trip to drive to SeaTac from Pinehurst (using the newest IRS auto mileage rate of 58.5 cents per mile). A taxi is $50+ each way. The bus, for those without a monthly pass, is $1.50 non-peak per person each way or $1.75 peak per person each way.
