The block party is a great way to meet your neighbors. Also, here’s an idea to fight graffiti on your street: put out a donation jar during the party and collect money to buy things for a graffiti kit. Then you have a kit all ready next time you spot a tag on your street. You can either rotate the clean up job, or keep the kit at someone’s house so it can be picked up by anyone who sees graffiti.
A kit can include:
- backpack or box to hold the materials
- paper towel
- lacquer thinner
- water-soluble citrus-based paint stippper
- wire brush
- razor blade and razor blad holder (to remove stickers)
- neoprene gloves
