We are starting to move forward on Jackson Park Trail and need volunteers to help lead the trail design project.
If you would like to be on the steering committee and/or the outreach committee, please e-mail or call (366-9472) me. Responsibilities include:
- Selecting, hiring and managing the professional design firm that we will work with to gather community input and develop a formal trail design
- Developing and implementing a community outreach program for the project
- Helping to hold community meetings to get input on the project
- Working closely with Seattle Department of Neighborhoods and Seattle Parks and Recreation to ensure that we keep the City informed on the project and to ensure that we follow City rules regarding community outreach and other related policies
- Meeting the administrative and record keeping requirements or the project
