Narcotics Arrest at Pinehurst Playfield

Note: I am posting this not to show the fact that there is crime in Pinehurst, but rather as a validation that when neighbors call 911, it does make a difference.

On Friday, July 24th between 9 and 9:30 PM, Seattle Police responded to a complaint of individuals smoking narcotics at Pinehurst Playfield.

When officers arrived, they observed subjects drinking alcohol from open containers on the east side of the ball field. As they approached the subjects, one of the subjects ran toward 12th Ave NE and a officer pursued him on foot. The officer ordered the subject to get on the ground and the subject complied. The subject stated numerous time, “I have a warrant.”

The subject was placed under arrest for “failure to obey.” Following a search in which two pills were found, the subject told officers that the pills were Ecstasy that he had been given for free. He originally had four pills but had consumed two of the pills.
