AlertSeattle is the new official emergency notification system used by the City of Seattle to communicate with city residents and workers during emergencies. You can sign up for the free system that sends customized alerts by:

· Email
· Voice Message
· Facebook
· Twitter
The service is provided by the City of Seattle at no cost; however, message and data rates may apply.
Emergency alerts will be sent when there is a significant risk to life and /or property at any time of the day.
Alert Seattle can also send you customizable alerts that are sent only during the hours of 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. These notifications include:
· Severe weather
· Safety
· Health
· Utility service disruptions
· Major traffic incidents
