It has been rescheduled for February 6th at 6:30pm at University Heights Center. It turns out that our local mall is going to be displaying a replica of the [...] In what I consider to be great news for the neighborhood, the City is moving ahead with a rezone of the area north of Northgate Way along 1st Ave NE. The rezone would allow for higher buildings (up to 85 ft) and non-residential uses, i.e. businesses. I know the density issue is contentious, but this [...] The City’s Department of Planning and Development is holding a public meeting to present options for future development and street improvements around the Northgate Light Rail station. The meeting is on Thursday, Dec. 8, 2011, 6:00 – 8:30 p.m., at the Aljoya Senior Apartments at Thornton Place, 450 NE 100th Street. Off-street parking available at [...] PhinneyWood is reporting that BECU is closing their Greenwood Safeway location and relocating to 551 NE Northgate Way. The new location is set to open on December 5th. As a BECU member, I’m very happy to be getting a branch in the neighborhood, especially a snapshot ATM for depositing checks.
