Join us for a walking tour of Pinehurst with the Deputy Mayor!
Monday, April 26th from 4:00 – 5:00pm (This Monday!)
Starting downstairs at the Holy Trinity Eritrean Church, across the street from the Safeway site.
We had a really good talk with the Mayor in Lake City and larger district-wide issues like sidewalks were a big part of [...]
Renee sent this to the email list but I wanted to make sure it was available for everybody to see. I would also add that it’s a great opportunity for neighbors to help each other when there is a need.
“I have heard that some Pinehurst residents who normally shop at the Pinehurst Safeway have [...]
The temporarily building in the Safeway parking lot is for the pharmacy and not the upcoming construction project.
They are still waiting on the permits so there is not yet a final timeline for the demolition and new construction. But they’re getting ready with the temporary pharmacy which will be available during construction (as discussed here) [...]
Safeway has confirmed that the new Pinehurst Safeway will be LEED silver certified.

Construction is expected to begin in Spring 2010 with completion around Thanksgiving 2010.

The Property Use and Development Agreement (PUDA) is still being drafted, but PLUNC just voted to recommend the rezone for a full Council vote in October. Vote may occur at the October 12th City Council meeting. [...]

I had expected to see it on the City Council Planning Land Use and Neighborhoods (PLUNC) agenda for this Wednesday, September 23rd. Unfortunately, there are some delays in the preparation of [...]
