Northgate Station Ped/Bike Access

You might see some of this if you attend the Northgate meeting tomorrow (er, today) but I thought it was still worth sharing for everybody who couldn’t make it. Richard Conlin has a post up about the effectiveness of investments in pedestrian and bike access to the future light rail station. It’s worth reading the [...]

525 NE Northgate Way Land Use Notice

There’s a new land use notice for 525 NE Northgate Way. This is the second design review meeting and many neighbors already gave feedback earlier. There isn’t too much changing here but I thought people would like to know what’s going on.

Not only does this include the design work on the station, track, and landscaping, but they’ve also announced two local NE Seattle artists (Mary Ann Peters and Cris Bruch) who will be working with the design team on art for the station and plaza. I won’t be able to make this one (I’ll be at [...]

Local Land Use Notices

We don’t get a lot of these in the immediate vicinity but there were three yesterday. The first two are really the big ones but I figured I’d mention everything in the area while I’m at it. The first one is north of Northgate between I-5 and Target. The second is for Jackson Park Golf [...]

Northgate Parking Editorial by Pinehurst Neighbor

A Pinehurst neighbor (and former writer for this site!) has written an editorial on the parking garage being discussed for Northgate. It is on the most prominent transit site in the region and if you haven’t seen it yet it’s certainly worth a read.
